Marybeth joined the HLC Realty family in 2017 and has quickly become a cornerstone of the firm. Just like Hedy Lou, Marybeth has a strong background in the Athens City Schools system, where she served in various roles before transitioning to real estate. She is deeply involved in the local business community, currently serving as an Ambassador for the Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce. Her dedication to the area was further recognized in 2025 when she received the prestigious Christopher Dean Award for excellence.

Leigh Ellen Cannon | Realtor
Leigh Ellen officially joined her mother and Marybeth at HLC Realty in late 2021. She brings a unique professional perspective to the team, with over 13 years of experience in high-level project and supply chain management at firms like Northrop Grumman. Her background in managing complex production accounts and logistics translates into a meticulous, detail-oriented approach for her real estate clients, ensuring every transaction is handled with corporate-level precision and hometown care.

Hedy Lou began her real estate career in 2006 following a 25-year tenure as a beloved educator at Julian Newman Elementary. After retiring from teaching, she earned her Broker’s license in 2014 and established HLC Realty to provide a more personalized real estate experience.
